Born in:

Ajax, ON

Current Location:

Bowmanville, ON

Current Life:

Currently my husband and I just moved from British Columbia to Ontario. We are currently working on finding a pastoral job together, while busy working on Still Beautiful Conferences (what's that? click here to find out more!). Also, I work at a motorcycle shop (Yup, I said motorcycle!)

Studied 4 years at Summit Pacific College and graduated with a BA in Religion and Major in Music. Served as Worship & Arts Pastor at Gateway City Church in Kamloops B.C. for three years. Founder of Still Beautiful - an organization that supports girls to be confident in the women they're created to be by using their stories and the struggles they face to empower those around them. Also, worked years and years with churches and youth groups.

I became a Christian when...

I grew up in a Christian home all my life and accepted Jesus when I was young. I’m not gonna lie I don't remember the exact day, but I do remember that I always believed. I really started to pursue my own relationship with Jesus when I was in grade 9.

A few of my favourite things...

Jesus, my husband (Reyhan), cupcakes, coffee (seriously... hot, cold, latte, frap, whatever), puppies, flowers, music, leading worship, oh and my bed (I LOVE sleep)!

What I would say to my teenage self:

"What you're going through, what you struggle with, does not define you, God defines you. Don't let anyone or anything else define who you are. You are not what you struggle with."

A Bible verse I love:

Genesis 16:13

"She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: 'You are the God who sees me,' for she said, 'I have now seen the One who sees me'."

God sees you just the way you are and he loves you. He sees you in the highs and the lows. He sees you in your struggles and temptations. He sees you in the crowd and in your room when you use your hairbrush as a microphone and you're singing at the top of your lungs. He sees every laugh and every tear. And He loves every part of you. Even when we fail, He sees YOU!
