I became a Christian when…
I was born into a Christian home so I accepted God at a very young age because it seemed like the right thing to do. I never really had a rebellious stage where I turned away from God, but for a while, He just didn’t seem very real to me. Then, I went to History Maker in 2014 and God just revealed Himself to me in a way that seemed so personal and direct that I decided to surrender my life to Him. Now He has made me super passionate to share this faith with the lost!
A few of my favourite things...
Writing songs, worship, reading, kittens, being with my youth friends, the caramel waffle cone Frappuccino at Starbucks…
What I would say to my teenage self:
Well, I’m still a teenager, but I think I would say…
“Appreciate who God has made you to be, and not compare yourself to others. You may not have the same gifts and abilities that other people do, and that’s okay, because it would be boring that way. God has gifted you in your own ways, and you need to take time to thank Him for that.”
A Bible verse I love:
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”
This reminds me that God is good, and that I can trust in Him fully. Even when things are tough and I don’t know where to go, He will lead me, as long as I choose to follow.
